248' Long, pump driven, floating Dry dock with lifting capacity 2600 Lt

1200' long Pier

  • Estimate feasibility of docking and complete Docking plans by review of relevant drawings, vessel survey or customer furnished docking plans. "Red line" drawings and procedures if deem necessary after vessel docking
  • Adhere to Dry dock Certificates of capacity and all pertinent dry dock practices associated with sound loading, pumping a operation f the dry dock
  • Analyze Tidal, Slack Water, Wind and Weather Conditions prior to Docking/undocking and Berthing Evolutions.
  • Provide Pumping plans and perform Docking / Undocking conferences
  • Oversee and participate in blocking operations. Verify accuracy before boat haul.

  • Develop manning plan and perform safety meetings with dock personal prior to each dock evolution.
  • Operate, control and command dock evolutions, ship handling and alignment.
  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of Dry dock and Pier associated housekeeping , maintenance and repair. Regularly Inspect mooring lines, access gangways, yard to ship services and storage grounds at the pier.
  • Perform periodic survey and keep current certification - electrical, mechanical and structural - of the Dry dock and the Pier schedule maintenance work and source materials.
  • Assist Repair yard manager with vessel repairs. Interface with customer representatives.
  • Develop and oversee attending vessel mooring arrangements, provide safe and reliable vessel access, , allision protection, requested service supply and mooring lines maintenance for the duration of the stay.
  • Arrange tug services and oversee all vessel movements at the pier.
  • Observe daily weather conditions, development and implementation heavy weather plans if necessary.
  • Create and maintain log of the pier side mooring vessel activities and assist Yard manager with billing.
  • Regularly Inspect and maintain mooring lines, access gangways, yard services and storage grounds at the pier.

Ground evolutions New construction:

Using Dry dock at relieving platform

  • Schedule transportation and transfer Dry dock from pier facility to new build yard relieving platform.
  • Develop plans and oversee preparation of New build vessel transfer from building site to the dry dock., including dock and ground means of transfer.
  • Operate Dry dock and command dock crew during ground transfer.
  • Develop launch plans and execute new build launch of the dry dock.
  • Oversee and participate in dock demob and new build mooring services.

Using rolling air bags at ramp launch way

  • Develop blocking/ lifting/ rolling plans and perform all necessary calculations for new build vessels that will be launched on rolling/lifting airbags.
  • Develop rolling/ lifting plans and perform all necessary calculation for vessel haul of the water on the launch ramp using air bags.
  • Administer and oversee Lifting and Rolling operations
  • Schedule tugs and supervise transfer of new build vessel from launch site to repair per.

General responsibilities:

  • Schedule and attend New construction launch meetings .
  • Liaison with new construction for support services as may be needed at repair facility.
  • Report directly to Repair yard manager or General Manager.
  • Provide support to tasks and jobs unrelated to the dry dock as requested.
  • Maintain a courteous demeanor to all employees and customers.
  • Strictly adhere to all Federal, State and Local safety and environmental regulations.
